Filming in Thailand is “awesome”, says “Fast 9” star Vin Diesel

Hollywood star Vin Diesel is in Thailand filming Fast 9, the latest sequel in the “Fast and Furious” movie franchise.

The 51-year-old actor posted an Instagram clip on Tuesday with Michelle Rodriguez, the actress who played Letty Ortiz in the movie – showing their first day on the set in Southern Thailand.

Fast 9, expected to be completed by the end of July, will be shot at various locations in Phuket, Phang Nga, Surat Thani, and Krabi.

Many people have been ecstatic about the sequel and Thai fans have been sharing photos online of the cars which will be used for the film.

“First day completed. Blessed beyond words,” and “We just completed our first day. I feel like a miracle. One harder [sic]. But it just feels like …. we are so grateful…Can you believe this? It’s so awesome. I am so blessed. We love you so much,” Diesel said in his Instagram clip.
