Filipinos in Thailand to stage concert for a cause to help a kababayan
Bangkok, Thailand – The Partners for Change – Thailand Chapter and some members of Filipino organizations in Thailand are going to stage a concert for a cause dubbed “A Cause for the Heart”, a religious musical program that aims to raise funds for Bro. Primo Estrella who, on February 4, 2018, underwent the Balloon Angioplasty Coronary Surgery due to ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (blood clot in the coronary arteries) at Synphaet Hospital in Laksi Road, Bangkok.

In a Facebook post from Dr. Edgar Eleguen dated Feb. 20, Bro. Primo Estrella’s operation was successful. But due to kidney complication he is on dialysis now. He is also suffering from memory loss because the surgery took place two days after the heart attack happened.
Dr. Eleguen mentioned that many Filipinos in Thailand helped Primo to raise 140,000 baht as a down payment for the operation. However, initial hospital bill sums up to one million, one hundred sixty eight thousand, four hundred forty six (1,168,446 baht), and it is expected to rise as he is still in the ICU dependent on the apparatus during the recuperation.
“The concert for a cause “A Cause for the Heart” is dedicated to our Bro. Primo who is currently not in a good condition. I am personally appealing to all Filipinos in Thailand to be united in helping Bro. Primo in the most difficult moment of his life. Proceeds from the concert will be for his medical needs,” Dr. Eleguen told Pinoy Legacy.
A Cause for the Heart concert is scheduled to take place on March 3, 2018, at 2:30 pm at Soi 37 Pridi Banomyong, Bangkok.
