Filipino Thai 4-chair turner wows The Voice Senior Thailand judges
BANGKOK—A 67-year-old Filipino Thai wowed the coaches with his rendition of “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” on Monday’s episode of “The Voice Senior Thailand.”
Krittaphat “Boyd” Peñalosa, who sings at Chaopraya Park Hotel along Ratchada Road, was a four-chair turner.
During the interview with the judges, Boyd revealed that he’s been in Thailand for 50 years and he’s married to a Thai national. He also said that he’s been singing for 40 years but never joined any contest until his wife pushed him to be in The Voice.
Boyd’s voice proved worthy of moving forward when all four coaches turned for him, with Coach Took saying she knew Boyd as a professional singer because of his singing technique.
The Filipino Thai picked Ms. Took as his coach.
In a short exchange with Pinoy Legacy, Boyd stated he couldn’t speak Tagalog anymore. He also thanked Filipinos in Thailand for their support.
“I will sing my best to win the VOICE for all the Filipino fans,” he added.
