Filipino dies in motorcycle accident in Chonburi

CHONBURI, Thailand – A 31 year-old Filipino died following a fatal motorcycle accident on Sunday, April 9, in Chonburi.

At 3 am yesterday, police authorities received information about an accident in front of Baywalk Residence, Pattaya Beach Road in Chonburi.

Rescuers arrived at the scene to find a damaged Honda motorcycle in the middle of the road.

Nearby was the Filipino driver lying on the street who had sustained multiple injuries on his head and arms.

According to Pranod Panitpong, 28, who witnessed the accident, the victim was trying to avoid a coconut when he hit the pavement and fell down.

The victim identified as Kenneth Chaplen Sagubay was given first-aid by the rescuers before he was taken to Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

Based on his Facebook, Sagubay is from Cagayan de Oro and has worked as a Butcher in Big C company.

The video of the rescue operations has been removed from this site as per request of the family who have also asked not to share the said footage in social media.
