Famous vlogger Nas Daily recognized for promoting the Philippines
TEL AVIV, Israel – Famous vlogger and content creator Nuseir Yassin or popularly known as Nas Daily, received a Certificate of Recognition from Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat at a Philippine Night held on the sidelines of the 2019 International Mediterranean Tourism Market in Israel on 14 February 2019.
“With the increasing influence of social media on the travel and lifestyle choices of people, the viral videos of Nas Daily. . . have significantly brought the Philippines to the consciousness of travelers, particularly those who are searching for new-multi-adventure destinations that the Philippines can offer,” said Tourism Undersecretary Benito C. Bengzon Jr., who joined Secretary Puyat and Ambassador to Israel Neal G. Imperial in presenting Yassin with the Plaque of Recognition.
Videos of Nas Daily featuring the Philippines have met positive responses from Filipinos in the Philippines and abroad.
He thanked Secretary Puyat for the recognition, saying it was the first.
With over 11 million Facebook followers, Nas Daily is one of the most followed social media personalities. Each of his videos which normally last for one minute receives an average of three million views.
Nas, which means “people” in Arabic, was born in northern Israel. He quit his high-paying job in New Year in 2016 and started documenting his travels through videos. His thirst for new adventures took him to places such as Papua New Guinea, Rwanda and, of course, the Philippines.
In one of his videos, Nas called the Philippines and its people the “real gem of Asia”.
