Loei, Thailand – A 14-year-old girl from Loei posted her last Facebook status before hanging herself from a beam in her house.
In a report from Sanook, her friends ignored her status and thought she wasn’t serious. However, her family members revealed that she often mentioned she was depressed due to personal issues.
Deputy inspector Chaleawdej Piriyatanakul of Na Duang police station in Loei, informed the local rescue team to the scene right after he was notified that a 14-year-old girl had hung herself.
The girl, whose name was withheld, hung herself using a nylon rope from the beam of her house. She was barely breathing when the rescue officers arrived. They untied her and performed CPR to her before they transported her to Na Duang hospital. However, she succumbed to complications related to hanging.
The Facebook post, published three hours before she died, translates to: “Goodbye World (crying emojis), RIP. Come to my funeral and light incense sticks to let me know [you’re there],” Coconuts Bangkok reported.
The family plans to hold religious rites over her body.
