Starting on 15 January, motorists who have applied for the Electronic Driving License will no longer need to carry the regular plastic license that they got from the Department of Land Transportation

The Electronic Driving License can be used to present to police and would be helpful in case an accident occurs.

In a report from Sanook, information of the bearer includes blood type, allergies, rights to use hospitals, illnesses, emergency contact person, as well as location and tracking information.

According to DLT Chief Pheerapong Thawornsupacharoen, those who have the regular plastic license and those seeking a license for the first time can go to the nearest Department of Land Transportation offices nationwide to apply for the new Electronic Driving License.
