Duterte supporters rally for Robredo’s ouster
MANILA: Thousands of Duterte supporters flocked to Luneta on Sunday, April 2, to call for the ouster of Vice-President Leni Robredo.
The rally, dubbed as ‘Palit Bise’, was spearheaded by personalities who are vocal critics of Leni Robredo in social media such as Mocha Uson, Jimmy Bondoc and Arnel Ignacio among others.
“Habang nagtutulong-tulong ang mga Pilipino na suportahan si Pangulong Duterte para ayusin ang bansa, itong si Leni Robredo, ang pangalawang-pangulo, ang naninira,” Mocha Uson, said.
‘Stop Shaming Duterte’ is also one of the rally’s call.
‘#PalitBiseRally’ has trended via Twitter as of 4:00 pm (Philippine Time).
Mocha Uson’s live posts in Facebook have already earned more than 100,000 views from Duterte supporters all around the world while Thinking Pinoy’s posts have been viewed for over 250,000 times.
The calls to oust Robredo of her VP seat by the Duterte supporters came after she slammed the president’s war on drugs through a recorded video before the UN Office on Drugs and Crime.
