Covid from Ang Thong cockfighting group spreads to 5 provinces
ANG THONG — The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced on Wednesday that Covid-19 clusters traced to two cockfighting arenas in Ang Thong province have so far spawned 38 cases across five provinces.
Thirty (30) of the cases are in Ang Thong but the spread also reached Nonthaburi with 1 case, 3 in Ayutthaya, 3 in Singburi, and 1 in Supahn Buri.
According to CCSA, 68 per cent of the cases are asymptomatic or symptomless and most of the infected are males.
CCSA expects there will be no more cases that will spawn from the group since all contacts from the outbreak are thought to have been traced.
