Confirmed coronavirus cases in Thailand jump to 32
BANGKOK — Seven new confirmed coronavirus cases have been reported today in Thailand, bringing the total number to 32, including 10 who have recovered and sent home.
Director-general of the Disease Control Department, Dr. Suwanchai Wattanayingcharoenchai, announced in a news conference today the seven new confirmed cases of coronavirus in Thailand.
According to Dr. Suwanchai, four Chinese tourists including three from the same family, and the fourth voluntarily went to a doctor on the advice of medical personnel at the airport.
The other three new cases are Thais, one was among the 138 evacuated from the Chinese city of Wuhan who is being treated in the Sattahip naval base hospital. The second works in tourism and the third had close contact with an infected patient.
