The department reported that northern Vietnam is already covered by the strong high pressure front from China. The cold spell is expected to blanket northern Thailand first before it spreads to cover the upper central regions.
It is also expected that cold weather will bring in strong winds. Fishermen are advised to exercise caution if they go out to the Gulf and Andaman Sea.
