Cambodia declares first confirmed case of deadly coronavirus

PHNOM PENH — Health Minister Mam Bunheng confirmed on Monday Cambodia’s first case of the deadly coronavirus.

According to the minister, a Chinese national in the coastal city of Sihanoukville has been confirmed as the first in the country, adding that three family members who were with the patient were tested negative for the virus.

The latest confirmed death count from the coronavirus outbreak, which was first reported in Wuhan, rose to 81 on Monday (all in China) and infected more than 2,700 others.

Thailand, meanwhile, has eight confirmed cases of coronavirus.
