Cabinet resolution acknowledges proposal to reopen schools in July
The cabinet on Tuesday (April 7) decided that schools can reopen from July 1 instead of May 16 as per the academic year.
A government spokesman said the cabinet acknowledged that the first semester of the 2020 academic year will have to be adjusted and schools can start the semester on July 1 instead of May 16 as proposed by the Education Ministry.
The Ministry of Education will adjust the teaching methods to be in line with the curriculum set at each education level.
