Cabinet approves longer stays for foreign visitors
The Cabinet on Tuesday approved longer stays for foreign visitors starting on October 1 this year until March 31 next year to aid the country’s tourism sector.
Foreign travelers wishing to enter Thailand with a visa on arrival will be allowed to stay longer up to 30 days, up from 15 days, said deputy government spokesperson Trisulee Trisaranakul.
Visa-exempt visitors or those with a 30-day visitor’s visa, meanwhile, will be allowed to stay for 45 days.
The move is to help bounce back the economy and reduce the impact of the pandemic, added Trisulee.
