BANGKOK – BTS Skytrain asked all commuters to wear a facemask while at the stations and aboard the trains to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The move, said Bangkok Mass Transit System, would reduce the risk of infection as well as maintain passenger confidence.
It said all stations and trains are sanitised daily before service begins.
Alcohol-based hand sanitisers are provided for use before and after using the service, an idea the company said should be copied when using any form of public transportation.
