Rama I was closed for over one hour after a suspicious package was found outside the Royal Thai Police headquarters during Thursday’s rush hour.
The report said that a man on a motorcycle fled the scene after dumping the package in front of the national police headquarters. The man was described as having been dressed in a yellow shirt and black pants, with black sneakers. He was also carrying a side pack, The Nation reported.
A team of bomb disposal personnel arrived at the scene. Upon opening the suspicious package with a flickering green light, the team confirmed that it was not a real bomb. What’s inside the package were cartons of fruit juice.
