Boy survives high floor fall at Central World in Bangkok
BANGKOK — The 12-year-old boy who fell two stories to the ground on Thursday afternoon at Central World in Bangkok was being treated at Police General Hospital.
According to Pathumwan police, the boy fell at around 2:45 pm on Thursday, Feb 20, while a press conference was taking place. They described his condition as stable as of 4:45 pm.
The mall had closed off the area, where actress Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund was about to take the stage for a commercial event. However, it was called off following the incident.
In the video circulating online after the incident, the boy appears to climb onto the escalator handrail when he falls.
Police are still investigating.
