Bomb-like object discovered on Soi Thonglor this morning
BANGKOK — A suspicious object wrapped in black electrical wire and tape was found on Soi Thonglor early this morning.
Thonglor police responded to the call and sealed off the area in front of Soi Thonglor 6 where the package was discovered, and placed tires over it as a precaution. Bomb disposal techs were then called to the scene.
According to a report from Khaosod, the object resembles a bomb but poses no threat. It was simply an air pump for inflating balloons.
The authorities brought the object to Thong Lor Police Station for further examination. Officers said they would check CCTV cameras in the area to try to determine if however left it there intended to cause a disturbance.
Several calls to Thonglor police went unanswered this morning.
