Silvester Kristoffer Depusoy’s body was seen on Monday morning floating in the river near the pier of Wat Bang Hua Sua in tambon Bang Ua Phraek, the same area where he jumped off the boat on Saturday night.

Authorities retrieved his body but they didn’t see traces of physical assault or wounds. His body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Science for autopsy.

Earlier report stated that staff of the cargo vessel Glory Marugame, saw Depusoy taking his shirt, pants, and a pair of sandals before jumping off the boat.

Crew members told the authorities that Depusoy was a relative of the boat owner and that he worked as a waiter in the Philippine-registered cargo vessel.

When they saw Depusoy jumped overboard, they tried to save him by throwing a life bouy at him. However, Depusoy refused. He raised both his arms and then disappeared underwater. Rescuers arrived at the scene but failed to find him after the incident.
