BMA organizes Skywalk cleanup to prevent the spread of coronavirus
BANGKOK — To prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) organized and carried out a cleanup activity on Sunday in the Skywalk. They also urged the public to protect themselves by wearing masks and washing their hands.
Over 1,000 people cleaned the Skywalk area in Pathumwan district led by BMA Permanent Secretary Silapasuay Ravisaengsura, particularly the stairway railings, walkway railings, and poles. Volunteers also handed over health masks and hand sanitizers to tourists and people passing by.
Apart from the Skywalk, BMA volunteers also covered other public areas nearby.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration appealed to the public not to panic, to eat hot food, use center spoons, wear health masks and wash their hands frequently. They should also avoid touching objects in public places to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
