BANGKOK — The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has just announced that all 437 public schools will be closed tomorrow, January 22, due to hazardous air pollution which has covered Bangkok every day for weeks.

The schools must close on Wednesday only, but if the situation doesn’t improve, they must close for two more days, said City Hall spokesman Pongsakorn Kwanmuang.

Saint Dominic School, a private school on New Petchaburi Road, announced it would close from Wednesday through Friday.
