Air quality in Bangkok now at ‘excellent’ level after days of concern
The average particulate matter smaller than 2.5 microns (PM2.5) in the air was around 16-46 micrograms per cubic meter as of 7 am on Saturday, 25 January. This is below the safety standard of the department which is 50µg/m3. But for the World Health Organization, it is still over the safety standard of 25 µg/m3 in a 24-hour mean.
According to PCD chart, as reported by The Nation, most of Bangkok showed blue, which means excellent, and green which means good levels. Other districts showed yellow such as Wangthonglang and Bang Kho Laem, which means the air quality is at a moderate level. The department said that all outdoor activities are safe for all groups.
