Officials from Nonthaburi Immigration, Bang Bua Thong Police, and Bang Bua Thong Administrative Office, visited on 2 October Sarasas Witaed Bangbuathong School and Sarasas Witaed Sainoi Pitiyakarn School to inspect documentation of foreign teachers working as language teachers.

Upon inspection, all 66 foreign teachers at Sarasas Witaed Bangbuathong School have the proper documentation including work permits. However, the result at Sarasas Witaed Sainoi Pitiyakarn School was not the same.

With the 14 foreign teachers working at the latter school, 7 of them, all Filipinos, were found to be working without proper documents and without a work permit.

All seven teachers confessed to officials that they started working at the school in July of this year without work permits. They receive their salary in cash, approximately amounting to 17,000 baht. They have been arrested and were sent to Bang Bua Thong Police Station.
