6 Filipinos trapped in Terminal 21 safely rescued
NAKHON RATCHASIMA — Six Filipinos who were among those trapped inside Terminal 21 have been safely rescued.
Geraldine Borja, Elaine Velasco, Johnfil Kien Degayo, Ampuy Apurado, Sunshine Liwayan, and Aldrin Laoagan Baluquing are now out of danger.
According to Jay Lyn Roma who was in contact with the trapped Filipinos, our “kababayan” have been escorted to safety by authorities.
“Maraming salamat po to Bangkok Police and embassy for your help,” Roma posted on Facebook.
On February 8, an army corporal shot and killed his commander and an elderly woman at a house in Nakon Ratchasima’s Muang district, before escaping in a stolen military Humvee and randomly shooting people, killing at least 20 and injuring several others whilst driving towards Terminal 21.
