5 Things You Shouldn’t Do During Songkran Festival
Bangkok – Songkran festival party-goers may not be as happy as they were last year as Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will impose “Five Nos” including no entertainment activities during the Thai New Year.
If you’re one of those who truly enjoy Songkran, it is imperative you know what the Five Nos are.
-No alcoholic drinks
-No powder
-No huge water guns
-No revealing clothes
-no excessive use of water
Entertainment activities, loud music and dancing on the back of pickup trucks will be prohibited as well during the festival.
BMA has designated zones for celebration in 50 districts and sought cooperation from members of the public to celebrate the water splashing event within the designated zones, Thai PBS reported.
No celebration will be staged around Sanam Luang and the Grand Palace as authorities concerned will have to take care of mourners who want to pay respect to the late King Bhumibol, the report added.
