14 foreign nationals arrested for staying illegally in Thailand
Authorities are tightening their search in areas around Bangkok and its suburbs of immigrant crime and those illegally staying in the kingdom.
Deputy Tourist Police commissioner Pol Maj-General Surachet Hakpal, said that police have arrested 14 foreign nationals, which includes an American who has been staying illegally in the kingdom.

In a press conference at 11:30 pm Wednesday, Surachet revealed that police had conducted searches at 33 areas in Bangkok and its suburbs as part of their weekly “Black Eagles” operation, an undertaking that targets immigrant crime.
The arrested foreigners for illegal entry include five Indians, one Burmese, and one Korean. Meanwhile, four Sri Lankans, two Indians and one American have been arrested for overstaying their tourists visas, Surachet said as reported by The Nation.
Tourist Police Bureau, Patrol and Special Operations Division, Narcotics Suppression Bureau, Immigration Bureau and Metropolitan Police Bureau are the ones who carried out the searches.
