120 overseas Filipinos infected with COVID-19, says DOH
The number of overseas Filipinos who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) had breached 100, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
Data released by the DOH showed that 120 overseas Filipinos across various countries had been infected with COVID-19.
Eighty Filipinos from the coronavirus-hit Diamond Princess cruise ship tested positive for the disease as earlier reported by the DOH.
Out of the 80 cases in Japan, 77 have already recovered while three remained in hospital.
Nineteen Filipinos were infected with COVID-19 at the Grand Princess cruise ship held off of California in the United States. None of them have recovered so far.
In Singapore, nine Filipinos had been infected, including several who traveled to the Philippines prior to testing positive for COVID-19.
Two out of the nine Filipinos in Singapore have already recovered.
In Hong Kong, the number of Filipino COVID-19 cases remained at five as earlier reported.
Three of them had been discharged while two remained confined.
Four Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates also tested positive for COVID-19. All of them were still isolated.
In France, two Filipinos had been infected with the disease but one had already recovered.
A Filipino COVID-19 case was also recorded in Switzerland.
The patient is yet to recover from the disease.
