11 Thais diagnose with coronavirus after sharing glass, cigarette at a party
BANGKOK — Health officials on Thursday said there were 11 Thais diagnosed with the coronavirus infection after sharing a glass for drinks and passing around the same cigarette at a recent party.
Sukhum Kanchanapimai, health ministry sec-gen, stated that the 11 Thais were part of a group of 15 people at the gathering, which also includes a Chinese national from Hong Kong.
It is unclear whether the Hong Konger also had the coronavirus because the person already returned to their country, Sukhum said.
He added that the group was dining at a restaurant in Thong Lor area of Bangkok.
Sukhum said one person also recovered from the coronavirus and was discharged from hospital.
