Nonthaburi, Thailand – Penshoppe Thailand held the official grand opening of its Thailand branch at Central Plaza Westgate on July 7, 2017.
Penshoppe, one of the fastest-growing fashion clothing brands in the Philippines, officially enters the Thai market this year. Its branch is located on the first floor of Central Plaza Westgate in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
Known for its fresh take on casual wear, Penshoppe hopes to hit the Thai market with a blast both online and offline, and has a plan to expand 4 to 5 branches before the end of 2017 with a focus on product quality and price strategy.
“The target audience of Penshoppe is between 18 and 25 years old,” Jeff Bascon said, director of Golden ABC, Penshoppe’s parent company.
Mr. Bascon said that the fashion behavior in general of Thai and Filipino adolescents is very similar. The price and quality of a product affect their decision in buying, but Penshoppe prides its quality and reasonable prices.
There will be 500 items which will be imported from the Philippines, and a 5-6 collections per year including a special collection during Thai festivals.
In an interview with thumbsup, Mr. Sirinapan Mancgananda, Managing Director of Trinity Group Corporation Co., Ltd., Penshoppe Thailand’s importer and distributor, said that Thailand’s fashion market is a challenging market. The strength of the brand is the diversity of its design. Penshoppe is comfortable to wear and has a cheap price strategy which is 20-30% cheaper than competitors.
“In addition to the price strategy we bring to the Thai market. We also care about style and quality so we believe that PENSHOPPE clothing business will grow 20% of the target every year, ” Mr. Sirinapan added.
Local and international celebrities who endorsed Penshoppe include Jericho Rosales, Heart Evanglista-Escudero, Mandy Moore, Mario Maurer, Ian Somerhalder, Sandara Park, Cameron Dallas and Kaia Gerber among others. It has around 700 branches in the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, etc.
