A Filipino teacher lost his life following a motorcycle accident on Sunday, 21 January 2018 in Phetchaburi province.
Erick Peralta Gan, 30, of Sarasas Witaed Phetchaburi School, died after he lost control of his motorcycle.
According to his friend James Enoc Luzon who was with Gan on the day of the accident, Gan skidded off the road and hit the cemented kilometer marker on their way to the beach.
“Nawalan po sya ng control (Gan), pumagilid sa daan, at nabagok ang ulo nya sa cement post, yung kilometer marking po,” Luzon told Pinoy Legacy. “Dead on the spot po, kasi almost 30 mins po dumating ang rescuer at pagdating dineklara na po syang patay,’ Luzon added.
Gan’s remains lie at Wat Tam Keaw Foundation in Petchaburi province.
Luzon also said that Gan’s family is asking for donation to have his remains be shipped back to the Philippines.
“We need financial assistance so we can ship our friend’s remains back to his family in Pangasinan. The amount quoted to us when we were at the Embassy earlier was 80k, and that is Bangkok to Manila only. I hope our Kababayan here in Thailand will help us,” Luzon explained.
