The FCLC Secretariat through its members, confirmed earlier this week that the organization of the OFW QuickServANTS United4Du30, is co-hosting the 3rd Filipino Community Leaders’ Congress (3rd FCLC) scheduled on October 27 – 28, 2017 with Richmond Stylish Convention Hotel in Bangkok (Nonthaburi Area) as the tentative venue.
This year’s theme “Personal and Social Transformation: Leading the Filipinos in the Land of the Free,” hopes to bring the ‘change’ that every Filipino wishes; to have a much closer “kababayan relationship” in the kingdom.
Sec. Silvestre Bello III of the Department of Labor and Employment confirmed his attendance to the event as the guest of honor and speaker during the gala dinner on the 27th. OWWA Administrator, Atty. Hans Leo Cacdac, on the other hand, is also gracing the event as a resource person for the topic “Usapang OWWA” on the 28th.
The annual holding of the FCLC in Thailand (Filipino Community Leaders’ Congress) aims to unite Pinoy communities and organizations behind a shared vision, and to keep them informed on the issues that directly affect them as Overseas Filipino Workers.
With the inclusion of financial literacy seminar in the program, FCLC also seeks to improve the lives of our fellow Pinoy workers. The event is also expected to offer free legal and medical consultations on the second day as pledged by the 8Trimedia organization, a radio network in the Philippines.
The 1st FCLC event was originally launched by the AFT-Khon Kaen in October 2015 and was followed by The Filipino Council of Phitsanulok (P’lok Pinoyz) a year later.
